Hey im a newbie. :)

Welcome to the ECF, who are a great crowd, even the ones who don't post on here.

The best teaching is done on the water, get someone to come out with you a few times to get your basic boat handling skills laid in, then the course work will make more sense.

When you start having adventures outside of the "back yard" you will really learn to love sailing and the area.

Regards

Ian & Jo

Welcome from another Orwell based boat.
You will find hours of pleasure just sailing up and down the Orwell and Stour, learning everything you need to know about your boat (and yourself), before venturing out past the harbour entrance.
Take up anyone and everyone's offer of help with the boat. You will learn so much more out on the water than anywhere else - and you will never stop learning.
Above all, remember it will be great fun.

Another welcome from Pin Mill. Which yard are you in? One is run by Gus and the other by Jonathan. If you want to move the boat mid week, let me know as I work odd hours.

Im in Kings boat yard at the moment. Thank you for the offer, it will most likely be a mid - week, towards the end of this month, as want to anti-foul it this weekend, and get it put in the water.

Does anyone know where I can get some anti-foul paint locally?

"It" is "She" my man.
Fox`s have a large expensive selection, go on-line first to Seamark Nunn & get their price, Fox`s will price match & Fox`s is on your way to Kings

PS i do have some part used tins of Blakes Tiger, how much do you need

Welcome to ECF, Pin Mill and the Orwell. We winter in King's yard, and live just up the lane. Always happy to help if needed?
