Henri Lloyd leaky boots - The result

your lucky

I would still contact "The Big Boss" for his view with a link to this post.
My 15 yr old Dubarrys have just been refurnished for £60 & returend as new

i have just been in the same situation with a Pair of Dubarrys with a less than 2 yr old boots both leaking in the same place adjacent to the ball on the big toe-
Dubarry have suggested the leak may be due to a sand grain damaging the goretex liner - they did however offer me 20% discount on a new pair

On the plus side, Phil, they only leak when it's wet so you'll still be able to wear them on about 5% of your trips to north wales. Another 20 year use out of them yet!

That assumes delegating Jimmy duties to Liz, of course.

AFAIK the sale of goods act requires goods to be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

If, as you state, your boots ARE lightly used and only three years old, they appear to be neither.

I would write again suggesting that if there is not a gesture from them you will take your chance with the small claims court under the SOG act.

I would be surprised if the situation does not change. Pointing out how this thread is going may also help....................

I think that's good advice and is what I should have done in the same circumstances a couple of years back. I too would bet that you get a result.

Mine came back with replaced gortex linings

I have the same boots I think... Mine are 4 years old and still going well on the waterproof front, the soles have perished though and the liner has become detached from the sole. which is a shame. I can't use them on deck, but I can use them for other duties...
