On the plus side, if a big wave got into the top of a leaky boot, the water would be able to drain out of the bottom.

My 15 yr old Dubarrys have just been refurnished for £60 & returend as new
I would write again suggesting that if there is not a gesture from them you will take your chance with the small claims court under the SOG act.
I would be surprised if the situation does not change.
Mine came back with replaced gortex liningsi have just been in the same situation with a Pair of Dubarrys with a less than 2 yr old boots both leaking in the same place adjacent to the ball on the big toe-
Dubarry have suggested the leak may be due to a sand grain damaging the goretex liner - they did however offer me 20% discount on a new pair
