My daughter and I are heading up river the week after next and we'll be passing Henley on Saturday 10th/ Sunday 11th July. Any advice on whether and where mooring is possible overnight whilst the festival is on, and whether the costs are likely to be very high like this week for the Regatta?

I think mooring is the same price as Regatta week, BUT if you don't NEED to get off the boat you can moor overnight on the booms, listen to the music and see everything that's going on.

This week £24 per foot weds to sun,
Next weekend For music festival £20 per metre.(prices from Srb the mooring chappy)
So talk to your financial adviser or find a boom to moor to....

If you do moor

I think mooring is the same price as Regatta week, BUT if you don't NEED to get off the boat you can moor overnight on the booms, listen to the music and see everything that's going on.

on the booms it is absolutely essential that you have enough booze to last you into the early hours otherwise the atmosphere on board can deteriorate rapidly..

Most of the moorings on Fawley meadow (arguably the best place to moor for the festival) have been booked at the previously mentioned rates but there are some notices advertising mooring for £50 per 24 hour period (or any part thereof) if you turn up and there is space which has not been pre-booked.
