Hi,
Wondered if anyone could help with a couple questions relating to my boat's electrical system. I not that savvy when it comes to electrics, I am updating the battery charging/power system for my Seawych 19ft and decided to go for solar power.
I have a 10w solar panel and also purchased CMP12 charger controller. My questions relates to this CMP12 controller.
The controller has three sets of Pos and Neg poles, the first is used to connect the solar panel, ok got that,
The second set goes to the battery. Should I place an in-line fuse to the cables running from the controller to the battery. As I have seen several wiring diagrams some with and some without.
The third set one states that it is for 12v dc load. Can I connect these last poles to my six switch power panel via a isolator switch to which is connected the VHF, ECOH, GPS, NAV LIGHTS, CABIN LIGHTS & AUX ( USB charger point).
Any advise would be welcome
Kind regards
