Help with nanni 4.390TDI

please can any one tell me what is the Toyota base engine for a Nanni 4.390TDI as i think i might need a new head . I am loosing water out of the header tank but not every trip out and water is going in to the bilge. I have heard of a few issues with the 4.390TDI.

If the system is blowing out coolant into the bilge, i would suspect a head gasket

I think the engine is based on the 3 litre Toyota Land Cruiser.

Sounds more like a leak from a seal or a pipe - what I have seen so far mostly on the back of impeller, heat exchanger...

The engine is stamped with a model identification. This will even point out the Toyoyta base, which in this case btw, is used for a number of marine versions.

Mine shows this - supposedly a leading M to identify Marine and then 1KZ that points to Toyota's engine series

The same block is used for more hp outputs, electronic or not, various cams and heads etc., hence letters before or after after 1KZ (like 1KZ-TE).
