Hi all
Anyone know of someone near the Hamble (or further afield) that can refill and seal a sumitomo compass?

Many thanks for any replies

OK thanks for getting me this far.
Current position:
Suunto no loner repair or service marine compasses.
BPSC will not be able to repair it.

So it looks like a new compass unless anyone can come up with a better idea.

There will be a fill hole on it. Get some compass fluid and a syringe.

Turn it until bubble is at the fill hole and add fluid.

I filled mine with vodka - works fine.

It's got oil in at the moment. Did you just add vodka to the oil, or did you empty the compass and refill it with vodka because that is an awful lot of vodka!

Thanks for the advice. I topped up with baby oil using a syringe. There is a tiny bubble that I could not get rid of no matter how hard I tried. Probably due to surface tension in the oil in the small filler hole. There is probably a technique to doing this. Any how it should last a season or two and I can top it up again if I need to
