I'm in the process of fitting a small automatic bilge pump to help pump out any small bits of water that work their way into the bilges. I've decided to use an old unused bilge pump thru-hull instead of drilling yet another hole in the hull. The existing thru-hull has a plastic pipe with an external diameter of 1 1/4 inch and internal diameter of 1". The hose pipe I'm using with the bilge pump is 3/4" internal diameter.
The hose pipe does actually fit quite nicely into the thru-hull plastic bit so it must have an external diameter close to 1".
Question is: What would be the most suitable way to fix the hose pipe to the thru-hull fitting?
