HELP
Could anyone help with a problem!
On one of my Volvo Penta AQ140A Petrol engines equiped with twin Solex F44PHN.3 Carbs the float has broken and i am struggling to locate a new part.

Volvo Penta agents tell me that it is no longer a stock part, and i can't seem to get anymore information than that!

Help would be much appreciated

go to the local breakers, i think the carb you need was fitted to the 360 series volvo around 86 ish "D/E reg" (working from memory now so no promises) drop the bowl off and pinch the float.

or if it's an early one you can drop the float in hot water, see where it's leaking and use a soldering iron to repair the hole.

good luck, steve.

MTB sells carbs he may very well have one, otherwise I believe Southern Carburettors used to carry some Solex bits.
