help volvo aqad41a engines

AD41's and DP290 outdrives are probably one of the most robust engine and outdrive packages out there and the easiest to fix.
+1
And possibly the cheapest..

So to sum up....the BIG selling point of outdrives is...they are cheap to fix.......
Will rush out and buy some straight away.....think of the money I will save.....Err hang on a sec. :):):)

Now you know thats not what I said OG, you should do a piece for the Daily Mail about outdrives, you would fit right in :)

Naa... the Daily Mail is full of third party hearsay, secondhand anecdotes and downright misrepresentation of facts to allow their readers to mentally masterbate about how the world in going to end if Ed gets in.:)
I on the otherhand have actual painfull experience of those workes of ye devile :):):)

34ft with 41a and outdrives....gotta be this................

...............If you need any indication of the fun and games than come with outdrives.....scroll down and look the long long list of repairs to those outdrives on a boat only 14 years old.
IMHO...of course

Right back at home after a drive to Newcastle and this was the boat we went to look at

http://motorboats.apolloduck.co.uk/...nl=0&maxl=0&ymin=&ymax=&sort=0&limit=10&type=

after initial internet searches I found that the boat had been for sale for some time and had quite a lot of work done on the port engine.
my wife and I looked at the boat and came to the conclusion that too much work was required to bring her up to standard - this being our first boat to look at (and yes I know for the money I am not expecting a brand new boat mahogany finish interior) but this would be a challenge and a half.

the broker gave me a copy of a previous survey from what the current owner had done when he purchased the boat and basically everything the surveyor had picked up had still not been put right including expired flares.
our conclusion was that the current owner has realised that this boat was too much of a money pit after spending over 4K on the repair of the port engine and is trying to recover some of his investment back.
that said if anyone has a lot of time on their hands and is up for a challenge - then it could be a good boat

It was a good experience though to look at the boat.

the hunt continues.

thanks for the help
