help needed glueing snap davit fixings

I have just bought a snap davit set for the old PVC inflatable. I am not sure if you glue the fixings on with the tender inflated or flat. also it came with bostik PVC glue is it suitable?

When I fitted my snap davit pads I did it with the RIB inflated. I applied the necessary pressure on the pads with several ropes round the whole thing and pulled down really tight.

I cannot comment on the type of adhesive.

Glued mine with it down and flat on a table. Very strong and easier to put books on it to keep the pressure on etc.

Type of glue depends on the fabric of the dinghy - PVC or Hypalon. Suggest you get the correct glue for the fabric.

The glue needs to suit both the davit pads and the boat material. I tried fixing rubber handles to a pvc rib with 2-part pvc glue. The handles peeled off cleanly leaving all the glue on the rib tube. The Polymarine website gives detailed instructions for fixing Weaver Snap Davits to a PVC boat. (see Advice/Tech Sheets) which they say I should have followed! I haven't tried re-glueing them yet.
