Help i need a new boat

Well after 3 days and no deal they have taken it off the market what a waste of 3 days ,but we are looking in Europe now we will find one

Look on the bright side, you may have dodged a bullet.

Just this morning I got an email with the same model you where looking at for sale. Searching in the EU can open many more opportunities.

Problem is that all the good stuff will have been snapped up over winter. Best you can hope for is that someone will now take a sensible offer on something that was overpriced. If anything new does come onto the market then get there quick as good boats don't hang around.

All in my humble experience.

Good luck!

Thanks Pete so boat described boat as excellent warer was getting in wet carpet nd a bit of stain on wood we drove 200 mile I would buy at right price but low

Ask for specific pics to be emailed before travelling , that’s what I did .
Naples long way to go for an over described boat .If you explain why - travel etc and been lead a dance by others then that’s the test of the seller / broker there and then a kinda honesty test .

“ Oh there’s been a leak of one of the windows and some [ insert here the damage described] “
“Sorry the ad does not show that clearly.”

You need to know stuff like that before travel.

Then with as much info as you can get , engage in a conversation with them along the lines
“ if it’s as described and everything works and has no other defects on inspection sea trail ,then I’ll pay [ insert your offer ]
“ On That basis when can I view it ? “

Thing is it’s difficult to be sympathetic to folks whinging —- went 200 miles orvwhat ever and
“ it was a crock of 8hit “
Or “ won’t budge on price - waste of my time that trip,”
Or —“ no service history on the engines “
Or “ dubious VAT info “ so walk away or send a lowball offer which is rejected.

Find all that stuff out before a long trip .
Of course if you swing by a local nearby broker ,who,s board and just happens to say “ it’s just right there outside. Want a look now “
Then fine have a look now as it’s cost you zero hassle time wise .Then find out all the things like the list above .

I got to the point where I wouldn't travel without photos of the documentation. But by and large most brokers want to sell boats so if you ask them what's wrong with it, they'll tell you, likewise what offers have been made and what is the seller likely to accept.

Also, why not ask here first before viewing the boat? Most boats will be known to one of us, even if it's "never seen it move".

As I alluded to above, perhaps by this time of year when a seller has been given three or four or whatever low offers it might occur to him that his boat is worth a lot less than he thinks.

Hurry up Roy. We drop in on Monday! Just in time to see double digits on the weather forecast. First stop The Old Brickworks at Porth Wen. Will you be coming by car? :p

Holding thumbs you find something decent soon :encouragement:

Think there is a tale with the Azi , the F. 42/5 I looked at it last September so it’s been around a bit, has the not so popular 3 cabin layout .
