Help East is east and west is East

Have Navman Tracker 5600 connected to Yeoman Plotter . When I enter Waypoints from Yeoman to Navman Latitude always plots East Regardless of entries . This happens on manual wapoint entries as well as direct from Chart ??
any ideas please
