hello
I have an old manual hyspeed, S-L I think, that is siezed, I have managed gradually to remove the gypsy & clutch cone on one end and the drum off the other but the mainshaft is solid, the levered operating spindle only moves about 5 mm and doesnt release anything.
I would like to get the main cover off to see what is happening, the small set screws are all out but its solid, also removed/chiselled a cork bush? from around the shaft.
I have a diagram off all the parts but no service instructions. does anyone know if the shaft has to be knocked out from the other end to release the cover late or should it lever off? or maybe there is another way??
thanks!
