helm dash design Qs

There is a Oldtimer car rebuilder here nearby,
he is very professional, has dome some very valuable cars,
If you like I will asc him, but then I would need a small sample ?

why not, thanks! It's easy to post a sample and I've got m2 of the thing :)

where is the nearby though? Are you still in in Rome or back home in Belgium?

cheers

Bart, you're lucky! :p
Had another look yesterday after suggestions from a friend and found a place with leatherette v.v.close to the 70ies original ;) 25euro/1.4msq

So I'll order off him on Monday, thanks very much for the offer though!

Regarding the dash design and following the results of the IVECO warning lights thread, I've come up with this (final version lower on the right hand side)

OK, red is for the cutter, blue is the bezel/ring whatever you call them that shows up on the front. (btw, sorry for the crappy screen capture off autocad, but don't have the time for "proper" image exporting...)
The four small 10mm holes in the middle between the rev.counters are for other operation (loosely..) related lights, similar to a car dash and necessary (imho) since my 70ies pull-push switches have no warning lights on them. So it's going to be for:

nav lights
anchor light
2 spare warning lights (one could be for things like BMS function blink/off/on, the other could be for exhaust temp warning or what not- open to options and ideas ;)
I could even have two rows of small bulbs in there although it would start getting confusing and I'd have to resort to putting vinyl sheets with printed labels for them which wont fit nicely to the 70ies dash

coolant level will be between the three dials on each side.
