depends where you sail, and how often you are aboard, we have the d4 on our 34 foot Seastream.. better to have more than less, warms faster.. it WILL do the job, but if you can afford the extra, go for the bigger one.

If you go on the eberspacher website it has a section for boat heating and lists what you would need for all lengths of boats.
Also you could add an electric fan to draw the hot air round quicker i have one and it works well.
On the 23rd Dec...I awoke and crawled out of my sleeping bag into a comfortable warm cabin. The crew said"Put some clothes on", I shopuld point out that I sleep naked. Took a look outside to find the decks iced over and the boat stuck in by ice half inch thik. The Webasto 2000 had done its job all night keeping the cabin at a comfy 16-18 degrees C.
I have a D2 in my Colvic 32 and I buy/sell them. Mine is ducted to the wheel house and the saloon. When it is freezing it will heat either but not both. ducting is all insulated.
I have bought around 10 D2s from bt vans, they have all worked( after some simple tweaking on a couple) well and most appear to have had little use.
Make sure there is a pump and timer supplied or add £80 for these items.
Good luck
have a D1LC on my bene 351, more than adequate even for my nesh swmbo, a D2 is 2200 watts as oppposed to the 1800 wattts of the D1LC so i think a D2 will suit you nicely. just one other thing, the d1 is on full chat when it is cold and it doesnt coke up, if you fit a bigger one you will have to throttle it and i believe that you will have problems with it sooting up.
One has just sold on ebay for £325,
