Heat Exchanger

My 1980 built boat has a Marteck heat exchanger which works very efficiently.

In the system, there is an electric pump, whose job is to circulate the fresh water system.

The conection to this has failed a couple of time in the recent past, and is difficult for me to repair.

I have two options

1. is to continue repairs and hope to make a final repair.
2. is to replace the old system with an up to date heat exchanger.

As Marteck do not seem to be in business any more, where can I get marteck spares, or what other heat exchangers are currently available to bolt onto my old Bukh engine

regards

Mark J

Mark, try Aquafax 01582 568700 who were Martek stockists. In any event, I believe that the pump was a simple Jonstone pump & readily replaceable.

Speak to tim at aquafax, they stock all the parts for the still produced heat exchangers.
Be prepared though, the pumps are a few pounds!
