Havengore Reported back into work!

It is reported today that Havengore Bridge is operational in accordance with the MOD byelaws. They thank us for our patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

They don't seem very serious about getting that bridge fixed when it breaks. That outage began on 3rd November. One wonders if they would really like it never to have to lift again.

I wonder how much boat traffic they get. It's a very nice cut through for the few who can manage it. Do they maintain it as a kindness to sailors or was it a condition imposed or historic right of passage?

Um, interesting. In the 16th century peeps would have exited via the Havengore largely because the Crouch wasn't there.
