Have you been out yet in 2022

What drone is a massive subject Go on you tube and watch Ian in London. No licence needed but do need to take a very easy on line exam and register. Don’t get a cheap drone go for a DJI product and look at the DJI Mini 2 fly more package

I will second that recommendation. Had been craving a drone for a while and even bought a toy one for $35 to try. Finally a friend showed me his new DJI Mini 2 and I was convinced. To be sure I researched all the different DJI models and a few other brands but ended up with the Mini 2 and absolutely get the Fly More package to go with it.

If you want to sink a lot more money into one you can get a fancier DJI with a better camera, a bit more speed, collision avoidance, etc but seems like the Mini 2 has the most bang for the buck.

The App it was using is Navionics

glad you liked the video thanks

Waterproof Splash Drone 4

This one's got good reviews for Boating.... but may go for the previous v3 model as v4 seems a bit pricey for my first drone perhaps

Far too big. There is absolutely no need to get your drone near the water. The weight of that drone will run you into all sorts of issues with the Drone Laws. You need to be under 250g in weight. DJI Mini 2 Flymore is the way to go. Most of the videos I post on here are filmed with that Drone or My Air 2 but that is over 250g

Looking at your various posts you are trying to Run in so many areas before you can walk. You will be unwise to do this all at once. Just get the Boat and see how you are with it. You also need to think far less about the Boating Lifestyle you probably have in your head and more about Practical things and learning how to use and skipper the Boat..... Drones, Skis, Water Toys, BBQ's (For pity's sake don't put a BBQ on a boat that size) and god help us Paracenders need to come much later.

I walk pretty fast... just planning and setting goals... of course not doing all straight away... its my thirst for learning and setting SMART goals. Brainstorming how can make the boat a good experience for my family... and I need a drone for work too.

... and yes, focus is on getting the boat, some formal training and lots of learning :)

A little different. Just had a pleasant sail around Pulau Ubin island in Singapore.
I joined a Meetup skipper who invited 4 strangers to experience an afternoon sailing from Changi Sailing Club.
Comfortable winds and interesting conversation aboard.

That is indeed different from splashing through the grey sea at 4 Degrees C lol

Told you it cost me a Fladen Flotation Jacket........ Now Her indoors will have no excuse for not coming out in the Winter. £120 delivered. This is a Small. If you buy one of these I would say if you are wondering what size you need and feel in-between plum for the smaller Size. We were wondering if her indoors would have needed a Medium and glad we did not go for that as it would have been huge on her. Catherine is a Size 12 if that helps
