Rudolph I doubt very much an Alpaca broke out of Jimmy's Farm and crossed the Orwell Bridge without a great stir on Social Media or Anglia Television. Only other route is to swim across further down river. Its about 15 miles at least by road.
Many people keep these creatures as paying pets, they are fairly expensive, the wool and poo can be sold and of coarse they breed.
A friend of mine has about 20 in a field near Leiston, its her main hobby and she loves it.
They keep the males separate and I'm not surprised they break out for a wander about. Nothing unusual in Suffolk.
No doubt they have a Website for discussing lost Alpacas.

I've been doing a bit of research. This website is a useful list of (known) invasive species in the UK. No Camelids are on it; the nearest in appearance is the Muntjac Deer, which is very common in East Anglia - you often see them as roadkill! But They're only the size of a largish dog. Alpacas are both farmed and kept as pets, so it could be an escapee; it might be worth notifying the Police as someone could have lost one. But if it isn't an Alpaca, I think the only likely candidates are Muntjac Deer or other native deer.

There is (or was) a colony of escaped wallabies near Whipsnade Zoo. In the dark look a bit like giant rabbits when caught in the headlights.

I don't like wallabies. I broke a collar-bone as I tripped over when being chased by one. I'm not sure that it was chasing me but it scared me when it popped out from behind the bushes at Whipsnade. It was bigger than me at the time.
