Haslar Marina and Portsmouth Harbour

Best to keep as close as you dare to Fort Blockhouse (close enough to shake hands with those on the Officer's Mess Terrace) and, if feeling really brave cut inside the BC4 (Tide Gauge) pile. There's a nice eddy flowing against the main ebb that close in!

I often have a to cut inside the tide gauge. My little 5hp outboard wouldn't get me in otherwise. Main problem is outgoing people insisting I should be on their port side as we pass, despite the fact it is obvious I'm struggling against the tide hugging the shore.

Small boat channel should be drive on the right on the flood and on the left on the ebb! ;)
