Has there been an accident at Leverton marina?

I've heard that a couple of guys drowned following a party.

Yes, I've only heard 2nd hand, on local tv news about two nights ago they said 2 people drowned in the marina, and they showed footage of their yacht.

Yes - Levington Marina on the Orwell -
On the local news this morning. 2 people died "falling off" the pontoon in the early hours after a fitting out party

Yes, we were there on Sunday and there were a couple of police cars around. We didn't realise why until the next day, when I heard that there had been a tragedy at the marina.

Someone mentioned that they were returning from a 'fitting-out' supper, and that maybe one had fallen in and the other gone in to try and help.

Very sad, our thoughts are with the families. One slip on a damp pontoon, a bump on the head on the way in, and it could happen to any of us.
