Fanastic weather this weekend. We got down to the boat around 7pm on Friday having dropped off some mats for Andrew - so decided to overnight in Osborne bay. What a stunning sunset:

In the morning, we dodged the chaos outside Cowes, picked up a guest at Lymington and then headed over to Swanage for the fireworks, that did actually go ahead this time. Also managed some swimming and a BBQ too. Don't think I've ever seen so many boats out and about, or anchored at Swanage. Everywhere was heaving. I guess the combination of decent weather and Cowes week. The Coastguard were beginning to sound frazzled....

Sunday was even busier for the Coastguard - its the first time I've heard them tell Lifeboats to get off ch 16, or to "goto channel zero, but await my call, you're turn two"!

We ended up anchored in the Beaulieu river next to RogerRat. Had a spot of lunch, met up with some friends and generally enjoyed the weather.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend.

Well Saturday the day started with an early morning shoe shopping session for a wedding, followed by attending said wedding lots of drink flowing just not in my direction as I was "nominated driver" /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sunday SWMBO had commitments from 8-11 and 4:30-8 so with 5 hours in between we figured just enough time to jump on the bike hot foot it down to the boat, go for a quick blast a quick swim a quick bite to eat followed by a quick hose down (the boat) before again back on bike for a quick run home.

Your weekend sounds like a slightly calmer pace...

It arrived for us last week okay. Yarmouth Thursday evening:

We stayed there Weds and Thurs and it was the first time we've been brave enough to stay away with both our kids of 14 months and three years. All went well, better than expected in fact, so next target is Poole, next week weather permitting /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
