a metal fuel filter bowl. You know the ones with a wire clip under the bowl and a thumbwheel to tighten it up.

I have a glass one but need a metal one for the BSS.

Sadly, the guy that did mine said that the remote filter bowl must not be glass - reason being that it could get cracked and damaged leaking fuel everywhere. Hence he said said must be changed for metal. These are reasonably standard on older cars. I remember one on my Moggy Minor attached to the bulkhead. My father has an old filter virtually the same as the one on my baot, but again a glass bowl. Only other option is to buy a complete new one - ouch .... but where from ???????????

Lucus make remote units for under 40 quid - had one installed on the refit - not so ouch - also Vetus make them with glass bowls so you can see water/ muck.

Lucus one takes cartridge type filter - cost about a tenner I think maybe less got mine from MMS in Marlow

Re: you only had to ask

Thanks Mick - after making the first post I bought one yesterday at Upton. All fitted and looks excellent.
Thanks anyway.
