As the title - is it still a pub? I remember going there many years ago from our first boat, a Vivacity 20. Not been through the Swale since then.

Yes it’s still a pub, but their main business is doing weddings. In such a remote location they don’t always have a lot of customers outside of those, and as Cantata says it can often be closed as a result.

There is also the Shipwrights Arms at Hollowshore if you can make it in there in a dinghy. Hours on their website: The Shipwright's Arms

We went there once some years ago. Landed in our dinghies, walked to the church, which was worth a visit, and thought we would have a drink at the pub on the way back. It was a hot day and we were thirsty. It appeared to be shut altho’ it was “opening hours” however SWMBO scouted round the back and found the landlord and explained our thirst. He kindly agreed to let us in and order one drink provided we drank it outside.?
Apparently he had closed early as he had a function on that evening.

Visit the Admirals Arm in Queenborough on your way through the Swale.
Good boaty pub and a lot less like an SAS assault course to get access ........
Also no need to spend entire time ashore wondering if your anchor is as bad as everybody tells you it is and worrying that your boat will still be there half a mile offshore when you get back.......... and no chance whatever you will eventually get back on the boat covered in mud.

Collected a takeway homemade Meat pie and Mash from there a day or two ago. Cost about a fiver.
Actual homemade not something pre chilled.
Afters ..... was jam and coconut sponge. :)

The Admirals Arm is a great little boozer, excellent ale & first class Pizza, and its dog friendly.

All wecome. Very informal micropub.
If you do not like locals/dogs/the odd kid/ other people in general , you might be better off going elsewhere. :)
Frequently feed and water the kids and grandkids there without breaking the bank on their Thursday evening specials usually featuring a Pie and a Pint or a Curry.
