With the Haringvliet bridge being out of action to both road and water traffic the lock at Stellendam is on a restricted timetable This is not in the Wateralmanaak.
0.00 to 0600 open on request.
0900 to 1000
1300 to 1400
1900 to 2000
inbound first, outbound second.
I made the 1900 by the skin of my teeth.

The way round the bridge via the Spui, Oude Maas, the Dordsteam Kil and the Hollands Diep is straight forward but you need to work the tide as it can run at 2.5kts.

I seem to be finding conflicting info online. Is the Haringvliet Brug closed entirely, or only opening 2/3 times a day (as the Rijkswaterstaat info would seem to suggest, and as per last year)?

And what is the fixed height? 11.97 or 13m? Again, i seem to see both sited!

TIA!

The Rijkswaterstaat info site www.vaarweginformatie.nl does have the latest info. But it’s not always immediately obvious. You have to click through to ‘berichten’ - translated as ‘messages’ in the English version - on each thing (bridge, lock etc) you’re checking.

Dutch sailing magazine ‘Zeilen’ has recently publicised a site which ONLY lists the berichten - so you can’t check when the thing should be working! - www.eurisportal.eu/scheepvaartberichten/kaart

@MK101 Thank you. For some reason, the messages weren't showing when I looked yesterday, but they're there today! I was also looking at the bridge info pdf which, whilst updated to Aug '23, still contains opening times for Haringvliet!

In our UFO 31 we were chatting to a Dutch Carter 31. He insisted that our mast heights were identical at 13m, and that we could go under the bridge spans. He seemed to know what he was talking about so we went for it.
The last few metres were nail biting but he was correct.
Saved us a 2 hr wait during rush hour.

Okay... So now all I need to know is the air draft of a Sandler 29, and the length and 'twang factor' of a Metz VHF aerial!!! 🤣. Thanks all. I'll let you know how we get on!
