Boat\'s birthday.
The boat will be celebrating her 70th birthday, all going well, on the 8th of August next year. All going well, there will be a party, and we may then do what we did for her 50th, and repeat her first cruise - Lowestoft, Ijmuiden, Vlissingen, Ostende, Harwich.
19 years ago, her builder and both previous owners, and their wives, shared the cake; they can't join us any more, but you will all be very welcome!

I had a lovely cake, with the same number of candles as my four year old son had on his. The remaining 50 were considered un-necessary.

Crystal is 80 next year, and I have been wondering what to do to celebrate. Sadly, I don't know the exact date she was launched but she will definitely be afloat again by August and I'm sure she would be happy to come and celebrate with Mirelle.

I told my friend that Crystal and Mirelle would be reacfhing significant decades in the same year, and that Mirelle might be off to Holland for an anniversary tour.
He said we should go too, and have a joint party. Geddit?!
Seriously, I wonder whether we might perhaps arrange a little sending off at Ramsholt, with a bit of a drink at the Arms beforehand?
