Any build up of silt at Ha'penny pier over the winter?

Is there really 2m chart datum. Thinking of going on this weekend. Anyone been already. I draw 2m

Was there on Good Friday on inside of pontoon. Didn't notice any shortage of water at LW - I draw 1.4m.

There's buckets of water there, we draw 1.4m and have been at LWS. A little less on the inside further up toward the pier but hardly any difference.

No problem, we were there last week with 1.8m. Great place, very friendly harbourmaster and good showers if not much else. Go to the Alma for great food and beer and get your discount vouchers from the harbourmaster.

What vouchers?

We were a party of 18 and the Alma was very busy the night we were there and my food was at best warm. As we were chosing off the menu they kept coming round saying so and so was off! Just goes to show how places can vary from night to night.

I said "can I have a forces discount? I'm ex-RAF & Army and a mate of mine is a brown job" he said he would be delighted to give me a 10% discount as he fully supported the military and could I tell all my military buddies about it. My buddy was with me so I asked him to pay as I'd left my wallet at home, he duly paid and everyone was happy.

Not been this year Pete but we draw 2m and had no problem on a couple of occasions last year whilst waiting for the tide over Shotley sill!!
