Handling extra anchors

Well I thought this thread was all about how to put three anchors down. Or more to the point how to get them back again. Oh well I suppose he'll just have to get the wife to pull the anchors up!

I would tie the end of the chain to the boat with twine (strong kind) and I have a snap shakle on the end of the tripping line. Now if I find myself in the position of having the dump the anchor and chain quickly I snap the tripping line onto the chain and then cut the twine and let the whole thing feed out and fall overboard.
You can then go back when your ready and retrive your anchor and chain.
