All I could see was a blurry little face poking out of the top of oilies.
However, having just turned back from crossing the N. Sea, it was nice to hear a cheery voice in Harwich.

There were lots of posh racing whizzy things going out. How did you get on?
 
Bu99er. If I'd have realised you had turned back I would have invited you all aboard. We were a bit short handed and it reflected in our final place. We had a 30ish hour passage and I reckon we could have nicked a lot of places back with enough bods to chance the lightweight kite all night instead of flying the heavyweight.
Never really warmed up over the whole weekend and, aside from ditching the jacket and hat when off watch I think the rest of my kit stayed on, including between watch snoozes.
