Whilst he has a point about varnished woodwork on the exterior, not for me. Be easier to buy something that floats and modify it. How about this one, extending the stern of a tri whilst living on a sand bank. Be much quicker to do the refit than build an Origami yacht.

You might try reading the Sailnet forum (amongst others) where Swain's design technology and naval architecture skills are subject to professional examination, and found wanting.

From the photos of his boats they seem quite normal I have to admit consternation seems a bit strong,reading about the man he does seem to raise a few hackles
