Have rung the number and texted to same number. I have a feeling pier not open in winter for overnight stays, anyone think different?

Perhaps you could go alongside close to the gangway near the fuel berth. I have seen boats moored there often.

It wouldn’t be beyond the wit of someone to move the other pontoon into the gap so there is still a facility.
But that would be too much like sensible.

Great idea; may we leave it to you to change all the fittings on the pontoon because the piles are in different places?

On a friend's Facebook page they had moored their boat on the pontoon with a ramp down; this was Thursday or Friday. Looked only room for one boat though.

I used the island just over a week ago, obviously walking ashore isn't possible! There's a notice on the island part at the moment that priority is given to larger vessels but local fishermen didn't seem to mind us being there. There is space on the remaining part of the pontoon close to the steps from which you can get ashore but it's sometimes used by Seal tour boats and I suspect the ferry whilst it's still running.

The ferry stopped running at the end of October Rob.
