Guernsey Marina charges 2024

Judging by those prices, it seems to me they don't want visitors in the coming years. It wasn't especially busy when I called through last year. Increasing the costs won't help attract more

How are they justifying 17% increases……
All covered in their document Mooring fee increases - 2024 to 2026 - Guernsey Harbours. They compared to other marinas in the channel and found that they were cheaper. Also there has certainly been 17% inflation in the last couple of years so not unreasonable. for a 38 footer it goes from £38 to £44.50 per night which is in line with Solent prices for sure.

I understand the telephone has reached the island of Guernsey. Have you attempted to call the marina?

I'm planning a visit later in the year and am currently looking at options.

Anchor in Havelet, then catch the tide down to Jersey and (dry out) in St Aubin. ;)
I've dried out before. I was assured by my crewmate that the mooring beside his was in 2m of water at low water. At 0200hrs I woke with my face pressed against the hull and the sound of pots and pans falling to the cabin sole!

Oddly, he slept through the whole thing in the forepeak!

With a 1.8m fin keel it is not something I do often.
