grubby sail cover

put grubby sail cover in washing machine 40 degrees today, then attacked it with a scrubbing brush and a mild bleech spray.

Then put it back in the washing machine for a 95 degree boil wash ...

didn't work - still looks like it's been down a coal mine.

Advice I once recieved for sails was to leave it to soak overnight in a bath filled with water and soda (at least that's what it's called in Holland). Not quite sure what this would do to any coloured fabric, so try a piece of something else first!!!!

Roger, if its acrylic, I wouldn't waste the water.... you havn't a chance!

If it was canvas, you'd have seen the difference by now!
