In regards to my previous post about damaging my boat :(

I now have the nearest marinas and other GRP repair guys to my club as ill need to sail the boat to them, now emailed me their quotes that i will be sending off to insurance. But could I have opinions of them from those that have used them. Thank you.

Gillingham Marina
(need to bring boat to them)

Foxs Ipswich
(need to bring boat to them)

JEP Faversham
(need to bring boat to him)

Ship Shape Boat Repair (Mark Pilbeam)
(he said he would do the work at my club, but our club facilities are limited and the trailer beam is obstructing the area needing repair)

Also all now know i have sourced replacement rail the exact same via Clarke and Carter.

Be careful with the replacement rail fro Jeanneau if they ever supply it. When I needed new toe rail extrusions for my Sunshine 38 after a t-bone many moons ago, they eventually sent numerous 2m lengths in lieu of a nice long bit. Not impressed. The late Mike Hemmingway at BYH sourced a standard YS extrusion from Allen Bros who modified it to fit the rub rail extrusion before anodising. If I recall we had one join about 5 ft back hidden by the pulpit feet.

I have seen the rail in person. it is the exact same type as used on my boat.

Cant comment on the list of places you have mentioned, but I had significant work both GRP and new toe rail all done by Alan Goodfellow at Essex marina, I cannot fault his work he is a perfectionist, I would highly recommend.

thanks. Burnham on crouch yard has not come back to me. Thought it would be good to bring the boat to where they knew it before.

Will contact Essex Marina too.

No personal experience as I bodge things myself but a chum has had some major work done. He found Suffolk yacht harbour to be good and also Frank Halls at Walton.
I've heard mixed reports about Gillingham
