There is seawater leak from a laminated join between two GRP prefabrications on grinding a section away a tiny unfilled void is found where the two parts meet. The water is finding its way up where the two fabrications meet a bulkhead which has been cut away. Is injecting possibly thickened epoxy into the void a good enough repair or is it a grind everything away and re-laminate job?

You need to find the source of the water in the first place and repair that. If that means cutting back or having inspection hatches or holes then needs must. The epoxy will not harden and will definitely not bond if there is any water or dampness present.

You could grind a little area out with a dremell (Sp) and fill it with underwater setting epoxy. This will at least stop the leak till you can lift her out and regrind to let it fully dry out and do a proper repair after it has dried.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
