We went to Bradwell for Sunday evening, and had the usual excellent couple of pints of Adnams.
What is really noteworthy though is the Venison steak cooked beautifully rare, very tender, with a fantastic sauce and fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Stunning, and what value at £11.00
Even my jaded pallet was knocked out.
However, our guest star for the weekend, Pete_Cooper of this forum had fetched down local Scottish cheeses, which we had with a passable port back on board FC. I have to say that the quality of Scottish cheese has rocketed these last few years, and we had soft, blue and cheddars to match anything the French can knock out.
