Did they change in April 2017?

I was chatting to a couple of guys and they said that a new structure was brought in across Greece this year. 1.50 euro/metre/night poss. not including VAT. I had not heard about this and have already paid the usual old rate this year.

I know about 3rd party management and also midnight-midnight pricing in some places. I wondered if they'd just been given a line to excuse increased charges. Big jump from about 7.5 to 19 - 23 euro

As I understand it, there's a rate laid down that local councils can charge when they retain direct control of their harbours, as they do in Kefalonia. That works out at about €13 a night for us at 12m. Then there's the local councils that have contracted out th management of their harbours to commercial operators (as they've done in Sivota/Mourtos) where the company can charge whatever they like. That's why we're happy enough visiting Argostoli and Sammi but anchor off in Sivota/Mourtos.... Then of course there's the placee they still don't charge at all but I'm keeping stum about them in case too many folks turn up and I can't get a place!

Forgive me for repeating my self but over the last few years there been more no more charges , you can blane some of it on people like some on here who keep on about how cheap Greece is to sail only being charge 5 or 10 euros a night , ( not so much now ) and a large blane on the charter market . Give it Another 2 years or so , I bet there be more 30 to 40 euros a night then the 10 there was last year .

I thought the standard rate was 0.47/m + VAT and that agrees with some harbours. I knew about the 3rd party thing as I said. It was the change in the standard rate I was asking about 0.47 to 1.50 euro seemed like a big jump. I'm guessing that it didn't change and was just a story to justify increased rates somewhere. Could be wrong, hence the question.
