Greece - New management !

Looks like the Greek/ EU negotiations are now at the call my bluff stage. The German Govt representative interviewed on the BBC news earlier today admitted that GREECE leaving the euro may be the preferred option for both parties.
How do I sell drachmas forward now?

Have to agree with your assessment - just hope there are some banks left in Greece through which to withdraw cash.
Though it helps not at all, this very elderly piece really puts the whole thing into perspective.

It isn't really 8 euro, is it? I thought you were joking. Coffee is 2.50 here as always. Why has it shot up on Rhodes and Crete?

Well, I took the Rhodes post as a piss-take and responded in kind. No, coffee is not €8 a cup on Crete, I have no idea how much it is because I don't drink it, but a 500ml Alpha beer is still €2.50 (for locals) and you still get a free gyros mezze....

Yes, same here. We did get very expensive coffees when we were in Ioannina at the start of the year but it was in a fancy coffee establishment, offering about 20 different types, right by the lake with a fabulous view. Still not 8 euro though.
