Greece - EU resident can get Temporary Admission for VAT unpaid boat.

I arrived from Türkiye to Pythagorio, Samos today on my Turkish registered boat. Another Turkish boat arrived at the same time. The captain who was solo is Turkish with permanent residence in Austria. We did the check-in procedure together. He showed his Austrian residence card at Passport control instead of a Shengen visa. I was expecting him to have difficulty at customs and I was surprised when the gave him a 30 day Transit Log. I was under the impression an EU resident on a VAT not paid boat would not qualify for TA. You live and learn.

I was with him. She clearly told him he could only get 30 days because he is an Austrian resident.
