I see they've laid a few buoys round here, I guess in anticipation of the work starting soon.

Does anyone know the proposed layout of the wind farm? Will there be a passage way though to the Sunk roundabout? Or will the NE access be closed off?

The Web site is singularly uninformative.

Or is this all old hat and I'm slow on the uptake as usual.

I was amazed to see the start of a wind farm off North Foreland. As far as I can see it is being built in 20 to 30 meters of water and near the ships anchorage. Ther Guard ship 'Brocklesby' was on hand over the weekend 'shooing' boats out of the way.

I would think it is only a matter of time until a ship ploughs through the farm.

Returning to Blackwater on Monday evening it was a bit murky and I thought I saw a funnel cloud - it was actually one of the new turbines merging into the misty merky sky!

Thanet wind farm, 100 turbines centred in area of the 'Drill Stone' about 8nm NE of the Foreland.
Least depth is 14m and I agree with you, one day someone will drive a ship through it.
