Spent the weekend aboard Hunros.
After a long and shattering week we managed to get down to Swanwick on Friday night just after 6.00pm, filled the water tanks, attached the shore power and went across the road and ate in the Spinnaker. The week finally caught up with us both and we were back aboard and asleep before 9.00pm.
Yesterday was the six nations super Saturday so watched all three matches and then wandered around to the Jolly Sailor for dinner. Hadn't been there for a while, the food was good but over priced in my opinion.
This morning the weather was OK so we decided to take a spin up Southampton water to see if there were any cruise liners berthed. As we passed the Hamble Cardinal post, SWMBO started to ask about how the anchor worked. (Some may remember that Hunros was only delivered early last month). Never one to pass up such an opportunity we were soon headed towards Osborne Bay and upon arrival I demonstrated the anchor controls to her.
We had a lovely couple of hours sitting at anchor, although we had some rain, when the sun came out it was amazing and with the added benefit, the bay was nearly empty.
For those who were stuck at home, feel free to share our near perfect day.
