Great Forum Relay Challenge is GO!!!!

Actually thats not quite it yet!
Some of you may have noticed, there is in fact still a boat missing from the trailer!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The boat is still in the water on its berth in Loch Lomond, I will take the trailer up to the marina either one night this week or next weekend, where the marina staff will lift the boat out the water and slowly lower it onto the trailer while we set it up properly.

I'll take pics of that and post them when it happens.

Origionally the idea of getting the trailer was to be able to use the dry berthing facility at Largs marina. That was the idea when we bought it back in september last year!

But now it just too try and help sell the boat quicker as we can no longer afford it!

I've made no secret that the boats for sale, its been on the market for over a year now.

We thought about using it at Largs while we try to sell it, but thats unlikely to happen now. So the boat will come out of the water and onto the trailer on the hard to be sold.

Unfortunately the cost of having a sick child has put paid to our boating for a while.

We are sad that we have to sell it!

Al , it really is a huge shame that it's come to this but I'm sure everyone will rally round anyway . It was a fun few days and people got to meet others they wouldn't otherwise have met so that is also a good result
Must admit I thought about your boat but as I got turned down for a £50K mortgage because it wasn't worth the time it would take as it was apparently too low to interest the banks , it could be hard for people to raise the dosh for a boat
Figure that one out , no you can't have the money because you don't want to borrow enough ??? Wierd
 
Well done Ali - to think it was only Friday afternoon I cable tied the forum burgee to the trailer. Quite an event to have been part off! I now want to see pictures of the boat on it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

What a brilliant thread.

I've been a bit dismayed by some of the recent squabbling and throwing of toys out of prams, though one tries to make allowances for cabin fever at this time of year. It's therefore particularly nice to see a reminder of (a) the power of the forum and (b) the fact that almost everyone who posts on here is a Top Bloke/Bloke-ess. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
