Not necessarily top of the list for places to visit by boat, I know, but you may find yourself wishing to stop off somewhere to get supplies or something. You can lock into the basin at gravesend (tide permitting) or the sailing club will allow you to pick up one of their mooring bouys overnight ( usually for a donation to the RNLI ) Pubs worth a try are the crown and thistle ( good real ale, no food, but they will order a takeaway for you and let you eat it in the pub ) The windmill arms, a very friendly local, and the somerset arms, a busy town centre pub near the railway station with really excellent real ale
