The Raymarine Logos on my Satellite domes are starting to peel off from the weather and heat etc.
I'm going to clean off all the old graphics but if I just leave it, there will be a white area left where the sun hasn't bleached.

I suppose I could have them sprayed and just leave them blank but I was thinking of creating some new graphics on top of a white rectangle.

So, what should I have on the domes
Not sure that I need to advertise Raymarine using the old style graphics
Would the boat's name up there look naf?
Or can anyone think of a cool idea?

More seriously, the princess logo would fit the bill to diguise the fade.

The sunseeker pred 84 "black Legend" (now renamed Black Knight because the new BL has arrived) had a ring of LEDs around each done, with no logos etc. I anchored next to her many times in SofF and they looked pretty good to me :D

Pic below only shows one dome but it's all I could find with a quick google

Call it understated rather than cool if you wish, but unless Raymarine asks for silly money, I'd rather buy two new covers.
Possibly blank, or if they come with the labels already on, just remove them right away.
And replace the bleached ones, job done.
The P67 is a very elegant boat, she doesn't deserve something anywhere near that Sunseekerish stuff, imho.

It should be easy enough to have raymarine vinyls made by Funky Monkey, loads of fonts and colours and keep them looking original, don't think there's a benefit by doing anything else

I have seen this boat a few times and often wondered if it's owned by the Black Legend club in Monaco or even the DJ and Producer that is the group Black Legend? She has an impressive options list. Any idea what boat is the new Black Legend??

The old Raymarine domes had a kind of lacquer on them which partially comes off after a couple of years.
I think the best option is just to have them resprayed and leave them white.

JFM's idea has been the most extreme - so far - maybe there are others

Aha, I see. Yep, obviously in this case it would be pointless to waste money with new covers, just to have the same problem in another couple of years.
A good paint job is the way to go, I reckon. Possibly colour matching the gelcoat.
And just as another thought, does JW has a boot stripe above the antifoul line?
If yes, it could be nice to make a similar stripe around the bottom of the domes, obviously in the same colour, and with a height in proportion with the dome.

Oh Yes - thats a good idea
Yes, like most white Princesses, there is a dark blue waterline (in fact 2 lines) around the boot.
And the current Flybridge cushions also have a blue stripe
And its a blue bimini
So maybe a blue stripe around the domes would look good.
I'll give that some thought

I will need to find a good painter in Spain though

I don't think I would have thought about that - thanks

One other small complication
We used to get seagulls perching on them - probably they thought they were big eggs!!
Generally speaking we don't have much of a gull problem in SC but after fitting some velcro spiky things on the domes, the gulls don't land.
I used sticky backed velcro which will now take a bit to remove.
Likewise, the velcro adhesive would damage any future paintwork.

Some good ideas have come out of this thread
I might ask Intellian (the domes are infact theirs) - there may be a special paint required - so as not to interfere with the dish etc.
Also the domes are partially flexible - i.e. not made from GRP - some kind of flexible plastic.

Personally I'm quite happy with the manufaturer's logo on the domes, so would replace the stickers, but if you prefer not to, then why not try compounding them, and see how noticeable the witness of the logo is after that. If it's barely noticeable, i'd polish and wax them and allow the remaining witness marks to fade in the sun.

If the compounding works, and you like the bootline idea, you could buy go faster stripes from a car accessories supplier, which will look just as good as painting them (applied before the wax of course)

Surely graphics to make them look like breasts is the classy way to go..?
Agreed, perhaps with a subtle tagline such as "I wish my wife's were as big as these" or "Suck on these, motherf****r":)
