Swmbo has just booked a last minute rip-off,
So we are off to Gran Canaria next week for a week of winter sun(hopefully).
Anybody out there at the same time wishing to meet for a few beers??

I THINK, we are staying in the south part of the Island, somewhere between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Morgan.
I think the place is called Taurito.
Anybody know of any Marinas worth a visit?
Or info in gereral?

Cheers.

Alistair.

You can use the trip boat , It runs from Puerto Mogan, stops at Puerto Rica, Then onto Arguinegan (spelling). Good seafood there. Marinas at Mogan, Rica and Arguinegan. Dinghys can be hired at Puerto Rica. River full of Mullet at Mogan!. Have a good one.

Puerto de Mogan lots of mobo's. Look out for Sealine T47 'Smooth 'n' Blue - we sold it last year to a Portuguese gentleman - she was last seen in Gran Canaria.
Have a good trip. If you are staying in either of the Princess hotels, they are
very good. Please let us know if you see the T47.

Been to both hotels, the Princes Suite is the better of the two, but both very good, a nice touch is the hotel check-in for the flight home, no luggage and queuing to check in at the airport .

Thats great to hear. We are All Inclusive, so hopefully checkin at the hotel will be part of the deal. That would be handy./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Ian,

I will certainly give you a report when i get home.
We've been to Lanzarote and Tenerife, but not Gran Canaria.

Something i picked up on, in another post of yours, We usually always go Self Catering, But on this holiday the 'All Inclusive' was only a few quid extra, and apparently well worth it, But onlytime will tell.
