The depth over the wreck was pretty deep and it was only after someone showed you the trace - that you would actually recognise it !

There's a story of a Ship who sent out a Distress call .... with position. When the position was checked it turned out to be the small island just inside the Gib straits ...., think its called Alboran or similar anyway ...... a Cargo Ship of Mediterranean flag had entered meddy and kept on the striaght course instead of the dog-leg around the island !! They say the half the crew were standing on the 'balcony' around the lighthouse light !!!!

I was quite amused the other day to notice my new Magellan reckoned Spithead was 150 feet above sea level.....

Reckon the navy will have to put a set of lock gates on Portsmouth harbour entrance if this goes on!
