By a bloke moored up at the side of the river. Admittedly it was early doors.
Moored up out on the river last night where the stereo can't disturb anybody, had our usual beer and crashed out.
Had to be up at 6am cos the neighbour (we have brill neighbours) could put the dogs away at 9pm that night, but was having a bit of a do and could not guarantee to be up early, so we had to be home for around 7:30am to let em out.
Any way up at 6am, everything stowed and mooring lines slipped at 6:30, motored back up the river to the marina, came to the moored boats on the riverbank, reduced speed to about 4 mph / 1000rpm to pass them with minimum wake as I always do. Think the ducks make more wake than we do at this speed.
Heard a bang and looked around; silly old sod banging hell out of his saloon window and shaking his fist at us.
What on earth do these people think? Perhaps he owns the reach? Perhaps anyone on the river before noon should be flogged? Perhaps everyone else on the planet should sod off and die to leave him in peace.
