Can anybody confirm whether the moorings at Goring are still closed?

Yes, the main 24 hr moorings are closed until 30th June although there appears to be a possibility that work may be completed earlier - a further update expected the week.
There are 5 transit moorings available at the lock which can be booked with the lockie. They are chargeable with no free 24 hour period.

Not as easy to moor but you can get in further down opposite the glass box thing.
It is reasonably deep, mooring pins needed and one thing I would say is watch out for wasps. And anglers who are a little bit territorial.

Looks like they are re surfacing the footpath and when I cruised past a week or so ago, they were still working on it, maybe it will all be done about the time you take your boat out of the water sadly!

The resurfacing of the towpath was completed and the moorings re-opened last Thursday afternoon. We moored there on Monday night.

Excellent, that’s good news, thanks for the update, maybe Pangbourne may be a little quieter now..
