I recently had a problem with the cruise control on my motorhome and as it was a VDO Tempostat piece of kit I tracked it down to Siemens VDO in Birmingham via the web. After explaining my problem to the technical chap on the 'phone he gave me all the advise I needed and said he would send me some bits and instructions in the post to try to cure the problem. I was very pleasantly surprised at 9am this morning when a packaged arrived containing new parts and instructions completely free of charge. As it was late afternoon when I spoke to Siemens VDO that has to be Gold Star service. As my cruise control is well over ten years old it's even more surprising they were sympathetic rather than trying to flog me a new one. My point being that they supply marine parts as well so remember the name next time you need something car or boaty. I certainly will.

I have no contact with anyone from Siemens VDO except on this occassion. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
